Exploring Zero Emission Zones for Freight (ZEZ-F)

You can now enroll to the SURF e-course and develop new pathways for sustainable urban freight!

SURF (Sustainable URban Freight) is a collaboration with Environmental Defense Fund Europe, one of the world’s leading nonprofit organizations working to turn environmental solutions into action. In particular, the project develops and structures knowledge and awareness on ZEZ-F.

The SURF e-course “Pathways to Zero-Emission Zones for freight” helps participants getting a better understanding of Zero Emission Zones for Freight (ZEZ-F) and developing a vision and strategy pathway for sustainable urban freight.

The open and free e-course is primarily designed for city and regional authorities but aims at providing a solid knowledge basis for any stakeholder involved in urban freight operations.

The e-course is organized in 3 Units:

  1. Why ZEZ for freight? The context
  2. Toward a Successful ZEZ-F: Steps for Action
  3. Keys to success

In addition to lectures and material for self-study, a kick-off webinar (15 September 2021) gives key information and guidance about the learning programme and the SURF Project.
