About the project

The UVAR Exchange research project funded by the European Parliament and contracted by DG MOVE. UVAR Exchange aims to:

  • Improve the communication of information to drivers in the vicinity of UVARs through different road signs: physical signage, variable message signs, and cooperative intelligent transport system (C-ITS) messages direct to vehicle.
  • Improve the cross-border exchange of technical vehicle and vehicle owner/driver information to cities to facilitate foreign vehicles access without pre-registration, compliance checks and enforcement of UVARs (e.g., in issuing fines).

The project is led by Panteia together with partners Armis, AustriaTech, CORTE, MAPtm, TRT, and Sadler Consultants.

Further information about the project is available at our website.
